How about we keep it short and sweet with some random thoughts…
- It’s always hard to adjust to time changes. However, I cannot for the life of me understand why my body wants me to wake up at what the clock shows as 4:30 in the morning when it’s really 3:30.
- For those of you who followed last week’s adventure of the stranded trio from the snow storm I have a report. One of the gentlemen, who was driving a Land Cruiser, spun out late on Friday and spent the night in a motel in Creston. The other two driving old beat up Toyota’s made it safely into Omaha.
- Some days there aren’t really words to express how you feel, but a hug makes up for that.
- Attended some continuing education for EMS this last weekend. Very interesting to see what is new in EMS and I managed to stay awake through almost all of the classes. One new item is a manual compression device for CPR. Interesting indeed, but may be a while before we see them in the working world.
- Only a couple of weeks away from another bond vote in the West Central Valley School district. It will be interesting to see the outcome.
- Snow? The only way I remember snow is from the huge mud puddles forming in my driveway. Drove out south of town the other day and noticed it looked like in a number of places that roads were pretty well drifted shut. Any guess on when the last of the snow will melt?
- And finally this week. Just a friendly reminder to check the batteries in your smoke detectors. A minute of your time could save the life of someone very important.
See you next week…Remember, we’re all in this together.
