One minute you’re banging around trying to remember where you hid all the Christmas presents and looking out the window wishing that you didn’t have to scoop the sidewalk off when you blink and suddenly the kids are out of school and you’re sweating in layers. Since we obviously need time to catch up I suggest we get started with random thoughts…
-
I’m all for nice weather, but seriously could we just eradicate mosquitos once and for all?
-
I think somewhere along the line I must have missed Morel season.
-
Stuart’s Good Egg Days are just a week away. Always a good time over there and a good excuse to get the kids out and about for a day.
-
Have you bought your raffle ticket from one of the Miss Earlham candidates yet?
-
I did finish planting the garden and now wonder why I thought ten cabbage plants may not be enough.
-
The old M& St. L depot in Minburn has been moved and is now open for business with sandwiches and beverages as well as biscuits and gravy all day. I’ve not been there yet, but it won’t be long before I go.

FFA supporters where are you? Earlham folks, you are needed to help support your chapter now more than ever. Contact Doug Reynolds for information on how you can be a part of something amazing. And for my West Central Valley readers drop me a line or get a hold of Jennifer Carrico.

Family reunion is this weekend and I’m wondering who will be making the sour cream raisin pie?
-
Tucked in between Good Egg Days and the Earlham 4th of July is Redfield Old Settlers which is including another of the highly successful Dexfield 80s Reunions. More fun that we old people know what to do with.
-
Be sure to keep fresh water out for your pets and livestock the next few weeks as it starts heating up.
-
Did I mention I’m wondering about sour cream raisin pie?
-
I am not sure how to explain it but my cherry tree has very few leaves this year but is absolutely loaded full of cherries. As they are just starting to turn I hope that I can keep ahead of the birds for the most part and pick them before they are all gone.

Finally this week, take a minute to do something nice for someone this week. Remember to pass along Grace.
See you next week….remember, we’re all in this together.
